I haven't updated about it here yet, so, here goes...
Dec 8th, I went to the ER because no other doctors would see me. I had been spotting since mid November and started bleeding Dec 6th. We went and didn't get good news. The doctor examined me and we got an ultrasound. The doctor said I was slightly dilated and that there was no baby. I went in at 9 weeks, we were told everything stopped growing at 6 weeks. When we got our ultrasound, the tech wouldn't say a word. But I could see everything clearly. I could see the sac...but there wasn't a baby in there at all.
It was devastating. Still is most days. I don't understand it and I never will.
I was able to naturally miscarry at home. I have to go back, hopefully, one last time to get more blood drawn. Last they checked, my hcg leves were at 26. So they should be right where they need to be now.
We were so excited when we learned I was pregnant. We tried for just one month and we got pregnant right away. Just as fast as we got pregnant, all of a sudden it was over.
Now....I don't think I want another baby. I did at first, I was being as optimistic as possible when I was going through the miscarriage. But, if I ever have to go through that again, it will wreck me even more. Now, I'm leaning towards "one and done." Why test my luck again, right? I have one beautiful, smart, and healthy little 2yr old. She is more than enough. Silly me for thinking I wanted another one. Maybe it's just not in the cards for me. What will go wrong next time? Maybe I'll be further along and lose the baby. Maybe I'll die during labor, then neither of my kids will have a mother. So many things run through my mind about this.
I'm not sure what part of the healing process I'm in. Or if I'll change my mind about "one and done." Time will tell.
RIP baby T.E.S. xo

Baby #2 - Week 6
How far along: 6 weeks
Total weight gain: 1lb
Size of the baby: 0.25 inches - size of a sweet pea :)
Maternity clothes: None! ...yet. I live in leggings :)
Best moment(s) of the week: When Gabrielle kissed my belly! Also, out of nowhere (I was putting her boots on before we left to her gymnastics class) she said "love you, mommy!" Melted my heart, <3
Movement: Nadda.
Food aversions: None this week. I haven't tried a grape since last week ;)
Morning sickness: Felt sick about 3 times this week. One time was pretty bad. I had to stop what I was doing, find a jolly rancher (all I have to ease the nausea) and go lay down and fall asleep. That was a close call!
Symptoms: Tired all the time. Little attitude going on. Dry right hand, what? I also had a little encounter with bleeding. I was a little crampy one day and when I went pee, I wiped and there was a little blood. Just dull looking. I kept wiping and a little clot was on my tissue. That scared me. But no further blood has shown up. :)
What I miss: not feeling like I'm PMSing 24/7 :)
What I'm looking forward to: Thanksgiving!

How far along: 5 weeks
Total weight gain: 1lb
Size of the baby: 0.13 inches - size of an apple seed :)
Maternity clothes: None! ...yet. My pants are getting tighter, though.
Best moment(s) of the week: When I put Gabrielle to sleep, I always lay beside her and I rub my belly and say hi to the new baby.
Movement: Nadda.
Food aversions: Grapes. Makes me feel like I need to throw up, ew!
Morning sickness: I have only felt sick maybe 2 times this week. It can continue on like that the whole way through, if it wants!
Symptoms: Tired all the time. Little attitude going on. Dry right hand, what?
What I miss: Coffee
What I'm looking forward to: My birthday! On Saturday :)

Baby #2 - Week 4
I had every intention on having Gabby hold the sign and be sitting up on the bed. She wasn't feeling it until she saw me taking a few pictures, running back and forth, then she wanted to be in it...just not holding the sign still haha. So as you can see, I had to prop the sign up on pillows. I'm sure this won't be the last time I have to do it this way. I would love for her to be in every photo, but if she doesn't want to, I won't make her. :)
Now, onto the survey.

Sunday Funday
What a fun day!
We started off with Church and then packed up our pumpkins and headed to the park. We brought Gabby's Jeep so she could play with it with her cousin. Hubby and I ended up doing the pumpkins while Gabby played. It was hubby's first time carving pumpkins! Crazy right? I thought so.
It was such a nice afternoon and Gabby had a lot of fun.
Now we are relaxing watching the Packers game. Gabby is already asleep because, once again, she didn't nap today!

This was our Tuesday
This morning we did a few learning activities. I'm starting (or, have started) preschool at home. Just something fun for both of us to do and I love watching how her little mind works! We are redoing letter A, since our vacation kind of put us on hold.

Back to the hole!
We got home on Friday night.
We had so much fun on our vacation but missed the hubby. We didn't get to see him until Saturday.
More pictures from the vacay:
First stop in Vegas was to a Filipino restaurant! So. So. So. GOOD.
I finally got to try my hubby's favorite drink/food: Halo Halo! It was super delicious. It's ice cream, shaved ice, beans, and some other things I'm not sure of.
Went and checked into our hotel, the Luxor, rested and went out on the town.
The next day we went on to Arizona and visited my family. Gabby and V finally see each other again! They were the best of friends and remembered right where they left off. They tried on shoes and had tickle fights. It was adorable!
My grandparents and MIL. Gabby and I of course!
The next day, we headed to the Grand Canyon West and got to ride a helicopter over the Grand Canyon! It was amazing. Our flight was about 15min long. It was so much fun. Once in a lifetime. Gabby did great with it. At first, she was a little scared, but soon got the hang of it. Afterwards she kept saying "Up! Down!" and moving her hands in the air up and down.
We also did the Sky Walk!
Sad story about the blanket you see this pretty little child sleeping on so peacefully. Guess who left it at the Luxor? This mommy did. :( She has had it since she was a newborn. Loved it. Smelled it constantly. Slept with it every nap and each night. No other blanket compares. We left early Tuesday morning and I'm guessing it was still tangled up in the sheets in the bed. I didn't realize I left it until we were long gone. I contacted the Luxor and filled out the Lost and Found form. They emailed me back almost immediately saying they have not found the blanket. I feel like the worst mom ever.

Viva Las Vegas
If you're reading this, I'm probably either on a layover in Tennessee or already in Vegas! Gabby, myself, and my In-Laws (hubby has to stay to work :( ) are heading out west for a little vacation. We will be spending Monday in Vegas and heading to Arizona on Tuesday morning. Our flight leaves super early on Monday, around 5am. So I won't be getting much sleep come Sunday night..we have to leave the house at 2am to get to the airport on time, waaahh. First Starbucks I can get my hands on, will be mine!
I'm excited to see my grandparents again. We are hoping to make it to the Grand Canyon as well. They have the Sky Walk that my in-laws would like to check out.
For now, editing, sleeping sometime soon, church on Sunday, last minute packing afterwards, and hopefully a couple hours sleep. See you in Vegas!

Adventures
We had spent the previous day indoors waiting and waiting for a MAC collection to launch. This is all my fault. My poor little lady. She was such a trooper and we did keep busy. The following day, I thought it would be good to get out and get some fresh air. We ended up here:
She wanted to hold my hand, aw.
Mean muggin' G!
Unfortunately, she was not feeling the greatest. I didn't find that out until after her nap...which happened once we got home.
Fun fact: M and I took maternity photos here when I was pregnant with G. :)
Checking out what was falling from the tree. Acorns.
I tried zooming in on this picture, well on her face, because she was mean muggin' again!
She thought it was funny. :)
