Today's date: Oct 6, 2011 ( I figured out how to add text to my photos! )
How far along: 15 weeks
Total weight gain: 3lbs
Size of the baby: 4.0 in ; size of a navel orange. This is crazy to me! M and I measured 4inches last night and held it up to my belly. It is crazy to think the baby is already that big all up in my belly. I want to start measuring random objects around the house and holding them to my stomach lol
Sex: Too soon to tell!
Maternity clothes: None. Still wearing the bigger work pants/jeans the hubby got me.
Best moment(s) of the week: Hearing the heart beat :) It was pumping away in the 160 beats per minute.
Movement: Nadda. Waiting for the flutters!!
Food aversions: Just not really wanting chicken of any sort.
Morning sickness: So far, so good.
Symptoms: Bad breakouts still. Getting bigger. Looking bloated.
Labor signs: Too soon.
Belly button in or out: In.
What I miss: Grande Americano from Starbucks. Yum. Wine.
What I'm looking forward to: Oct 10. Our next baby appointment! Read below!
At our appointment on Monday Oct 3, 2011 -- We went in and they did the usual, I peed in a cup and they weighed me. We got to hear the heart beat :) :) :) :) :) It was in the 160's -- which I hear is in the range for a girl ;) We met the doctor for the first time. We were to be switching between two doctors. The one we were meant to see was the woman doctor, but she wasn't there I guess. So in walks the male doctor. And this was just a normal checkup I guess. He asked if we wanted to come back in 2 weeks to get some blood taken to test for things like downs syndrome, to see if the baby has it or not. We asked if insurance covered it and he kind of just went off about it. Saying he didn't care if insurance covered it or not, and that he isn't payed for everything that is done. I thought it was just a simple question lol but he went off. So we were like, ok, we will come and get the blood taken, no big deal. The whole time he was talking to us, he kept looking at my chest. It made things awkward and very uncomfortable. When we set up our next appointment, which was the gender scan, it was set for Nov 1st. But, I did not want to see that doctor again, nor have him anywhere near my southern region or touching our baby lol So we switched from the doctors where we live, to the doctors in the town about 30min away from us. Same clinic, just different doctors. So we go in on Monday Oct 10, 2011, to meet with a nurse to talk to her about doctors. And to hopefully get a gender scan set up, again. I know it will be around the same time, I just want a set date again!!
I really hope the doctors at this clinic don't disappoint. I don't want to go through this experience with doctors I can't trust or talk to. I wish we were living in Colorado at the moment, because their heath care has always been top notch.
Hope all is well with y'all :) So excited we are in October and heading into the holidays, yay!
