1st day in the books

We made it to Vegas! And have left already. Now visiting with my family until Thursday morning. Thursday morning we are planning on visiting the Sky Walk, and heading back to Vegas for the night. Our flight leves Friday afternoon.

I did a horrible thing. I left Gabby's favorite blanket (she's had it since she was born) in the Luxor hotel room. I guess I didn't see it as we were packing in the morning. She sleeps with it every night, I think it was mixed up in the blankets on the bed. I feel terrible about it. Breaks my heart. I called the hotel twice and each time I get sent to the lost and found line but no one answers. They have a recording saying I need to fill out the form online and hopefully they have it and should be able to send it to is. Fingers crossed.

A few pictures

When we first arrived :)

Halo Halo! Hubby's fave food. I finally got to try it! So delicious!

Stayed at the Luxor Hotel!

View from our room :)

My body is still on our time zone. I'm exhausted!

Viva Las Vegas

If you're reading this, I'm probably either on a layover in Tennessee or already in Vegas! Gabby, myself, and my In-Laws (hubby has to stay to work :( ) are heading out west for a little vacation. We will be spending Monday in Vegas and heading to Arizona on Tuesday morning. Our flight leaves super early on Monday, around 5am. So I won't be getting much sleep come Sunday night..we have to leave the house at 2am to get to the airport on time, waaahh. First Starbucks I can get my hands on, will be mine!

I'm excited to see my grandparents again. We are hoping to make it to the Grand Canyon as well. They have the Sky Walk that my in-laws would like to check out.

For now, editing, sleeping sometime soon, church on Sunday, last minute packing afterwards, and hopefully a couple hours sleep. See you in Vegas!

Adventures

We had spent the previous day indoors waiting and waiting for a MAC collection to launch. This is all my fault. My poor little lady. She was such a trooper and we did keep busy. The following day, I thought it would be good to get out and get some fresh air. We ended up here:

Such a nice view. The place we went to go down to see the water, had A LOT of spider webs. I don't think anyone has been down this way in a long time.
She wanted to hold my hand, aw.
 Mean muggin' G!
Unfortunately, she was not feeling the greatest. I didn't find that out until after her nap...which happened once we got home.

Fun fact: M and I took maternity photos here when I was pregnant with G. :)

Checking out what was falling from the tree. Acorns.

I tried zooming in on this picture, well on her face, because she was mean muggin' again!
She thought it was funny. :)

Until next time!

She loves gymnastics!

Cutest little gymnast I ever did see!

She is loving her tumbling class. I signed her up last month for a parent/child tumbling class. She really enjoys it. I do too. She can now do summer-salts on her own and she finally went down the long trampoline all by herself! I'm so proud of her. She is obsessed with the rings. She wants to spend all of her time on them. :) She loves gymnastics movies, too.

A lot has happened

Typical title for someone who hasn't written in about 5 months. Ha!

But seriously, a lot has happened.

1) We are no longer in Arizona. We came back (road trip) the last week in July. Hardest thing I've ever done? Yes. It was heartbreaking but it was what was best.

2) Finally got unpacked and settled. A month (or so) later my very best friend, Rachel, came to visit us for 10 whole days! She just left on the 17th.

 3) Now we are going to get back on schedule just in time for us to leave to Arizona, in October, for a quick visit. We will only be there for 3 whole days.

4) My sister is getting married!

5) Mario's sister will be visiting us for Thanksgiving!

6) TTC baby #2!

So a lot has been going on and we have a lot coming up still. But that is the jist of it all.

For now, I am working on a daily flexible schedule for Gabby and myself. Being a SAHM, I feel like we need a little more structure in our day to still feel like we are contributing to the world somehow, or at least I do. Know what I'm saying?

On top of all of this, I need to get back into the swing of running and TIU. Specially when we start trying for baby #2. This time, I want to stay active throughout my pregnancy. With Gabby, I was active but once I was about 6 weeks along, I quit running all together. Bad choice! So hoping this time will be different. I signed up to be an official TIU girl this summer. I did the Bikini Series and I met my goal in a weeks time. But with the move, I unfortunately didn't stay on track and I gained it all back and then some. Boo. Back to square one.

I hate when you get in the groove of things and then you quit. It happens to me all the time with running. I get up to running 4 miles almost every day and I quit. I go through spurts where I post here then all of a sudden I fall off the map.

I realize this post is all over the place.

I have a few ideas for my blog. Obviously, posting consistently. I'm thinking hoping, Monday and Wednesday -- every week. Posts about, mommyhood, daily life, fitness/TIU, beauty, etc! I'll work out some sort of schedule for this, too. :)

I missed you, blogger!
