Baby #1 ; Week 10 (Double digits!!)

Today's date: August 31, 2011 ( Back on track with updating on Wednesday nights! )

How far along: 10 weeks

Total weight gain: I haven't stepped on a scale since we went to our first appointment. So I'll stay with 4lbs.

Size of the baby: 1.2 in ; size of a prune.

Sex: Too soon to tell!

Maternity clothes: None! ...yet. My pants are getting tighter, though. <--- this is still true. On one pair of jeans I just leave the button undone lol

Sleep: Sleeping ok. Just getting up to pee all the time, it seems.

Best moment(s) of the week: Being in the (early) double digits :) Also went for my first (very slow) run in a couple months. Felt good.

Movement: Nadda.

Food cravings: Waffles. I don't normally like waffles. I'm much more of a french toast or pancake girl.

Food aversions: So far this week, anything goes :)

Morning sickness: This week, I've been good. Only notice I get queasy when my stomach is empty and I drink any sort of juice.

Symptoms: Tired all the time. Crabby, mood swings like craaaaazy. Still bad breakouts. <--- same :(

Labor signs: Too soon.

Belly button in or out: In.

What I miss:  Nothing this week :)

What I'm looking forward to: Buying maternity clothes!

Besides waffles, I have been wanting to make macaroni salad. I didn't use elbow macaroni, though. So I guess this is basically just pasta salad. But. Oh. My. Gosh. YUM.

Gram, I must give you this recipe so you can try it. You'd love it. :)

Until next Wednesday... Take care, folks!

Baby #1 ; Week 9

Today's date: August 27, 2011 ( Yesterday, again! )

How far along: 9 weeks

Total weight gain: I went to the doctor this week and they said I was up 4lbs from what the at home scale says, eep!

Size of the baby: 0.9 ; size of a green olive.

Sex: Too soon to tell!

Maternity clothes: None! ...yet. My pants are getting tighter, though.

Sleep: Sleeping ok. Still waking up multiple times a night to go pee. I'm trying to not drink anything a couple hours before bed, but that is when I am most thirsty. Just can't win!

Best moment(s) of the week: Our first sonogram!!! We got to see our little bambino (or bambina - if it's a girl) and we got to hear the heart beat for a couple seconds :)

Movement: Nadda.

Food cravings: Tacos ( any Mexican food, really ) and waffles!

Food aversions: Still just no meat in the morning, yuck.

Morning sickness: I was good this week. :) *Knock on wood*

Symptoms: Tired all the time. Crabby, mood swings like craaaaazy. Still bad breakouts.

Labor signs: Too soon.

Belly button in or out: In.

What I miss: Sushi and wine!

What I'm looking forward to: Being 10 weeks :) On into the double digits.

We had our first sonogram on Thursday! We were seen right away. Took us back and put the warm goo on my belly and took pics of my ovaries then onto the baby :) He was moving around a lot. We have a dance we do all the time, mimicking the baby :) So cute. I told M the baby is taking after him, dancing around for us to see, and wanting all of the attention. Hehe :) We got pictures of the baby, which is posted below! Talked with the nurse and got weighed and she took our family history. We then met with the final nurse (Who was great!!) who told us when we would be back, what to eat, how much to gain, and she examined me. Basically she said she doesn't care what I eat in the first trimester. It is whatever I can keep down, keep eating that. She said I should gain around 23-28lbs for my height, 5'4" -- glad they measured me! She also gave us random packets of information.

The only thing I did not like about this place, is that you don't get just one main doctor you see. They alternate between 2, and whoever is available at the time of labor, is the one who will deliver our baby. We don't like this, at all. So I think we are going to be changing to a different office and to one main doctor. Will update more about this when the time comes. Our next appointment is set for Sept 22nd. In the mean time, here is our little bambino (bambina):

I will get back on track with updating on time and back to Wednesday nights :) Just been real busy!

M and I went and saw the Colts vs Packers game this Friday. It was so fun! It was his first football game. He bought me an official Peyton jersey :) I changed and wore it the whole game. We had THE BEST seats! We were 9 rows from the 50 yard line. We had some sort of club seats, our section you had to walk through glass doors, and in the dining area it was set up like a restaurant. So cool :) Colts almost won, but the Packers got them at the very end. Darn! Oh well, I'm glad the Packers won for M, he loves them.

That's all for tonight, folks.

Baby #1 ; Week 8

Today's date: August 20, 2011 ( Again, taken yesterday! )

How far along: 8 weeks

Total weight gain: Still not sure, some days I'm up 3lbs, some days I'm back where I started. Today, probably up 3lbs from the fullness of my stomach hahaha.

Size of the baby: 0.63 ; size of a raspberry.

Sex: Too soon to tell!

Maternity clothes: None! ...yet. My pants are getting tighter, though.

Sleep: Sleeping ok. I get up now, about every 3 hours to go pee. And my hips hurt pretty badly. Trying to not sleep on my stomach anymore, it hurts not to!

Best moment(s) of the week: None. This was a rough week...emotionally. I was all over the map. Poor M.

Movement: Nadda.

Food cravings: Still cereal and pizza, or tacos. I really want chicken curry salad!

Food aversions: None really this week. Not a big fan of meat still...just in the mornings.

Morning sickness: Still off and on. But wasn't too bad this week.

Symptoms: Tired all the time. Hip pain when sleeping. Crabby x's 832782351. Breaking out bad!

Labor signs: Too soon.

Belly button in or out: In.

What I miss: Having energy! Being able to not want to fall asleep at 2pm.

What I'm looking forward to: Next Thursday for our first doctors appointment!

We were supposed to see the doctor last Thursday, but the nurse wasn't going to be in the office, so we had to reschedule. We were bummed. We go this Thursday morning now. We will be able to update with, hopefully, a sonogram! Along with Week 9 (Starts today!) picture and update :)

IntelliGender

So we did the IntelliGender test last night. It is not 100% accurate, but, it's fun!
Here is what it says on the website:

"Our Gender Prediction Test is the fun pre-birth experience moms are talking about! Discover whether you may be having a boy or girl as early as 10 weeks pregnant.
Our urine-based test is easy to perform in the privacy of your home, with results ready in minutes!
IntelliGender's Gender Prediction Test bridges the curiosity gap between conception and sonogram."

Here is what comes inside: *not pictured, a cup to pee in, haha*

And the result.....

;)
It's not exact or accurate, but fun to do and think about :)

Baby #1 ; Week 7

Today's date: August 8, 2011 ( Obviously I took this yesterday! )

How far along: 7 weeks

Total weight gain: Not sure. There are 2 scales here and I weigh on both lol. One day it said I gained 2lbs, the next day 3lbs, the next day? Just 1lb. So I will go with 1lb.

Size of the baby: 0.51 inches - size of a blueberry :)

Sex: Too soon to tell!

Maternity clothes: None! ...yet. My pants are getting tighter, though.

Sleep: Sleeping well at night. I have always gotten up to pee in the middle of the night, so nothing new there. :)

Best moment(s) of the week: Not much, really. We went to Babies R Us and I bought some Preggie Pops and some cream for the tatas. We got reward membership cards, I gave one to M for his key chain. :)

Movement: Nadda.

Food cravings: All I want is cereal. Pizza always sounds good and I've been wanting tacos so bad.

Food aversions: But, anything with meat, just doesn't sound too good to me. I am making tacos later this week, we will see how that goes. I tried eating Texas toast ( the good kind with cheese on top ) the other day, and no. I took a bite and had to let M have it. Just the smell of it makes me queasy.

Morning sickness: I get queasy off and on. Usually starting in the afternoon, but it is usually the worst at night. Tonight hasn't been too bad, thankfully. I have just been sucking on Preggie Pops when I feel bad, and that seems to help.

Symptoms: Tired all the time. Nauseated off and on. Not as crabby this week!

Labor signs: Too soon.

Belly button in or out: In.

What I miss: Sushi, coffee, SF Red Bull, rare cooked steaks!

What I'm looking forward to: Our doctors appointment on August 11th!

Baby #1 ; Week 6

M and I on vacation in Colorado. We went to visit my family. This picture was taken at our party my mom threw for us. :)

This week I remember, again, being tired all the time and very crabby. Poor M! This is when I started craving cereal.

Baby #1 ; Week 5

This was taken July 26, 2011.

There is a whole survey I will be filling out every week ( I believe you are supposed to fill it out every Friday, but I'm a rebel lol ). I don't have it for week 5, but, I just remember being tired all the time, crabby, and emotional. I did not do a week 6 picture because we were on vacation.

We are pregnant!

We had been trying to get pregnant for about a month.

One morning ( July 13, 2011 ) we went grocery shopping and decided to pick up a few pregnancy tests, just for the heck of it. We got home and I believe he was grilling out, we ate, and I had to get ready for work. I decided to pee on a stick...just to see what it would say.

I did my thing and waited. I didn't think I would see a thing. Then all of a sudden, a faint 2nd pink line started to form. "OMG!!! NO WAY!" I had to look at it multiple times. I brought it to Mario ( my fiance ) and had him look at it. I said "do you see two lines there?!?!?!" He did! We quickly showed his mom. We all thought maybe it was too soon. I hadn't even missed my period yet. I even brought the positive pregnancy test to work to show a few girls there lol!!

The only signs I had was that I was warmer than usual and I had been getting dizzy off and on at random times.

I remember testing again at my lunch time that same day, positive. I tested the next day as well, positive. Within the next week I took about 8 pregnancy tests, all positive. :) Why did I take so many? Cause I could!

The next weekend, or so, we went out and bought a few baby books.

We already had the boys baby name picked out before we got pregnant. I let Mario pick out the first names and I got to pick out the middle names. But we will keep those secret till later on. :)
